The Health from Portugal (HfPT) agenda aims to position Portugal as a globally recognised hub for the design, development, and production of advanced health solutions, grounded in innovation and technology. HfPT will focus on four key areas:
(i) The development of smart health solutions targeting the digital medtech segment;
(ii) The creation of an intelligent national repository of health data with international relevance;
(iii) Capacity building to foster growth and sophistication in the country’s clinical trials segment;
(iv) The creation of solutions that leverage the potential of the ecosystem for the collection and benchmarking of clinical data and the costs associated with healthcare delivery.
These priorities will be pursued by a consortium of 87 co-promoters, who complement each other technically and technologically, concentrating the necessary capabilities to achieve the ambitious targets set. These targets include the launch of 107 new products, processes, and services by 2025, supported by an investment of €92 million.
