About

AIBILI is a private non-profit Research Technology Organisation, established in 1989, dedicated to clinical research and development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
As an Interface Centre by the Portuguese Ministry of Economy, AIBILI supports translational research and technology transfer in the health sector, acting as a facilitating partner between scientific institutions, healthcare providers and industry in order to bring novel products to the market.

AIBILI main areas of activity are: coordination of national and multinational clinical studies; clinical research; centralized grading of eye examinations; research and development of new technologies for medicine in the area of imaging; health technology assessment; and data centre.

The Quality Management System complies with ISO 9001:2015, ICH-GCP Guidelines, requirements for Certification of ECRIN Data Centres, GDPR (EU) 2016/679 and national and European regulatory requirements.

The main goal of AIBILI is innovation in clinical research, converting basic research knowledge into practical applications to enhance human health and wellbeing.
AIBILI assumes a leading role in European clinical research as Coordinating Centre of EVICR.net – European Vision Institute Clinical Research Network and by its excellence track record focused in ophthalmology which has been and added-value to clinical development and innovation.
