18 March 2026
The DigiHealthPT Partnerships Day took place on 18 March at Atmosfera m, in Porto. The event was organised by DigiHealthPT, the Portuguese Digital Innovation Hub dedicated to the health sector, coordinated by Health Cluster Portugal (HCP). The InnoMedCatalyst project was the strategic partner of this edition.
The event aimed to discuss key topics related to digital transformation in health, including the potential of health data, the impact of artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging trends and opportunities in the sector.
In the keynote session “From Data to Value: The Power of AI in Health”, Antal Kuthy (Co-founder and CEO, E-GROUP) addressed the requirements for the creation of data spaces and how AI should be integrated into healthcare systems, ensuring responsible development under human oversight.
This was followed by the roundtable “How AI is shaping the Future of Precision Health”, which explored the role of AI in patient-centred care, the requirements and challenges of building robust databases, the involvement of hospitals as data providers, and the importance of health clusters and multi-sector collaboration ecosystems. The session featured Tomé Pedroso (Board Director, Multi Health), Alina Capitanu (Vice-President, IMAGO-MOL Cluster), João Fonseca (Full Professor and Head, FMUP), and Afonso Pedrosa (Head of Data Intelligence Service, ULS São João), moderated by Patrícia Patrício (Innovation Director, HCP).
Following these sessions, the Pitch Competition showcased five Portuguese companies developing digital health solutions. The winners were:
- 1st place: FLASH-Rapid Diagnostics - Bactometer, a device using magnetic sensor technology to identify pathogens and antibiotic resistance.
- 2nd place: VaultHaus - AI-assisted data cleaning tools, reproducible study generation, and secure collaboration solutions.
- 3rd place: Gripwise - a hand grip strength assessment device for screening sarcopenia and frailty.
The winners were awarded market intelligence and consultancy services provided by DigiHealthPT.
