HCP promoted the Conference "Patents in value creation in the area of Health"

The HCP promoted a conference entitled "Patents in value creation in the area of Health", which was held on 19 March 2010.

The aim of the conference was to debate the actual and potential impact of patents in the area of Health in Portugal.

The conference included the intervention of Dr. António Campinos, President of the National Institute for Industrial Property and Dr. Maria de Belém Roseira, Member of the Assembly of the Republic.

The conference agenda also included a debate about the theme "The patents in the commercial life of Health-related companies".  The debate panel, which was moderated by Dr. Peter Villax, Director at Hovione and a member of HCP’s Board, included Dr. Ana Paula Carvalho, CEO at Laboratórios Pfizer, Eng. João Seabra, General Director at Siemens Healthcare and Dr. Pedro Pissarra, President of Biotecnol.
