Rita Isabel Lima de Araújo was born in Viana do Castelo in 1979.
In 2003, she obtained a degree in Applied Biology from the University of Minho.
In 2008, she obtained a Ph.D. degree, from the same University, after developing work in the areas of recombinant protein expression for biotechnological application, namely, for the surface biomodification of polymers.
She has attended several courses and post-graduated programs in the areas of life and health sciences.
In the scope of the Ph.D. she integrated the team of two European projects and the work lead to the concession of two international patents.
From September 2008 until March 2010, Rita Araújo was developing her Post-doctorate in University of Minho in the area of interference RNA (RNAi) for cosmetic and therapeutic applications.
Rita Araújo integrates the HCP’s executive team since April 2010.
