Luís M. Guimarães Soares was born in 1978.
In 2000, he has obtained a degree in Applied Biology from the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal).
After that, in 2006, he has obtained a Ph.D. degree, from the same University, after developing work in the areas of heavy metal toxicity and oxidative stress.
He has attended several courses in the areas of life, health and environmental sciences and in the area of intellectual/industrial property.
Between 2001 and 2007, he had some teaching activity in several areas of life and environmental sciences and management systems.
In 2007-2008, while working for PIEP – Innovation in Polymer Engineering (Guimarães, Portugal), he has been a project manager at the so-called Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Group (a project involving several institutions of the Portuguese scientific and technological system and companies from the medical device and the pharmaceutical sectors).
Luís Soares integrates the HCP’s executive team since its beginning, holding the position of Project Manager.
