• Coordinator of the Courses on Thyroid Pathology of the European School of Pathology (Turin, 1992 and 2002) and Ankara (2003).
• Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the VI European Course in Cell Pathology (Caminha, 1996)
• Lecturer in every European Congress of Pathology since 1981,  in most International Congresses of IAP  and SLAP since 1988,  in numerous Meetings of the  Portuguese, Spanish, French, British, German, Polish, Russian, Brasilian  and  Argentinian  Divisions of IAP  and in several Congresses of the National Societies of Pathology and/or Cytopathology of Portugal, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, Russia, Turkey, Argentina and Brasil, as well as in numerous International meetings focusing on Thyroid pathology,  Gastric tumours, Ultrastructural pathology and Molecular pathology of cancer.
